Oregon’s ocean and coastline are incredible. Imagine towering kelp forests teeming with life, a seafloor abundant with Dungeness crab and sea stars, and the sight of migrating whales bouncing between shallow and deep water.

Just over a decade ago, Oregonians recognized the importance of protecting our ocean and created our state’s Marine Reserve Program. It was established to conserve marine habitats, promote biodiversity, and provide space to conduct scientific research and monitoring. It’s clear it’s achieved these goals, but it can be even better.
Tell your state legislators to support Oregon’s Marine Reserve Program and the seals, whales, Dungeness crabs, and hundreds of other animals that call it home.
