Let’s increase funding for Pennsylvania’s recycling programs

Funding for recycling in Pennsylvania hasn’t increased in over 35 years. To ensure that the state’s recycling programs succeed, we have to give them the investment they need and deserve.

Improving and expanding recycling in Pennsylvania would mean less waste going to landfills and incinerators, less air and water pollution, and less litter in our neighborhoods and environment. The good news is that there is a proposal in the state house that would increase funding for recycling programs all across Pennsylvania. This proposal is House Bill 223, and by modernizing and improving our recycling efforts, we can expand upon the benefits we all know come from recycling.
