We all know how important recycling is for protecting our planet. Yet incredibly, one in four Pennsylvanians live in a city or town where access to recycling isn’t required, and 57 out of the 67 counties in Pennsylvania don’t offer curbside collection. One major hurdle is that counties in Pennsylvania are not allowed all the tools needed to fund recycling programs.

To help address this, state representatives have introduced House Bill 597. This proposal would allow counties to raise funds locally to invest in their countywide recycling programs. Ask your state representative to cosponsor this important proposal today.
