Clear cutting in West Virginia
Between 1986 and 2003, 543 acres of the Monongahela national forest were clear-cut. Now the Forest Service plans to clear cut more than 5,000 acres.
The Forest Service is approving more proposals to clear cut. The Monongahela National Forest is one example of a forest with a noticeable increase in clear cutting. Read more:
