VDOT awarded $600k for wildlife crossings

The Virginia Department of Transportation has been awarded over $600,000 to continue Virginia's work on wildlife crossings and corridors.

Virginia has been awarded funding to support our work to establish wildlife crossings in critical areas across the state. Virginia will receive over $600,000 to better identify high priority corridors and protect wildlife and their habitats.

The Department of Transportation announced funding for their wildlife crossings pilot program earlier in the year. The Virginia Department of Transportation applied for funding through this program to support their continued work on Virginia’s Wildlife Corridor Action Plan.

Rep. Griffith announced this news on Friday.
