Environment Oregon staff and volunteers rally in support of protecting Oregon's oldest trees.

There’s something amazing about being in a forest, especially one filled with big old trees. Unfortunately, our remaining mature and old-growth trees and forests face many threats, including from logging. So we’re calling on the Biden Administration to protect mature and old-growth trees and forests on federal public lands.

The Forest Service is taking steps in the right direction toward rulemaking. With enough public support, we can persuade them it’s in their best interest to act swiftly, and enact the strongest protections possible. And thanks to people like you, we’ve generated approximately 400,000 public comments supporting durable protections for our old-growth trees and forests.

We’ll be delivering some of those comments to the Forest Service at 10:30 am on Thursday, July 20th.
