Climate Champions in House of Representatives Push for 100% Renewable Energy

We know that we can have healthier communities right now and a livable future for kids growing up tomorrow. But to get there, we must transform the way we produce and consume energy. That’s got to start with a commitment to 100 percent clean, renewable energy. Here’s one more example of promise and progress:

Last December, Representative Grijalva (D-AZ) and Representative Ellison (D-MN) introduced a House Resolution in supporting a 100 percent clean energy future! The resolution sets forth a goal of achieving 50 percent of electricity derived from wind, solar, and other clean sources by 2030, with a full transition to all clean, renewable energy by mid century. The resolution also calls for near zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

We have a long way to go before Congress adopts a resolution like this.  But, every time someone takes a stand, it lays the foundation for renewable energy to be an unstoppable force. So, hats off to Representatives Grijalva and Ellison, along with the 25 other co-sponsors, listed below, for taking that stand:
