The Bill to Transition Florida to 100% Renewable Energy Is Critical to Florida’s Environmental Health and Economic Success
Environment Florida
Orlando, FL— State Representative Anna V. Eskamani (D-Orlando) and Senator Lori Berman (D-Boynton Beach) filed House Bill 283 / Senate Bill 720, legislation to transition Florida to 100 percent renewable energy by 2040 and carbon neutrality by 2050. The bill also bans fracking and establishes a workforce board to propel Florida into a clean energy economy with new high paying jobs — a much needed initiative following the damaging impact of COVID19 on the state’s unemployment rate.
Today, February 2, 2021 at 10:00am – 11:00 am, they will host a virtual press conference alongside environmental advocates to share more details about this critical bill.
