BOSTON -– Leslie Samuelrich, the president of Green Century Capital Management, has received the 2019 SRI Service Award, the highest honor conferred at the annual SRI Conference for the sustainable, responsible, and impact investing industry.
“I am honored to receive the SRI Service Award,” said Samuelrich. “I am proud of the work Green Century has done to advance fossil fuel-free investing and foster the transition to a clean energy economy.”
The award recognizes an “individual who has demonstrated leadership, innovation, high standards of professional conduct, and accomplishment in collaboration with other SRI industry leaders.”
Samuelrich leads Green Century’s investing strategies, business development, and award-winning shareholder advocacy program The Green Century Funds have experienced 527% growth under her leadership.
Green Century is part of The Public Interest Network, the parent organization of a number of state and national groups, including Environment America, dedicated to sustainability and environmental protection. Doug Phelps, the president and CEO of The Public Interest Network also is a founder and a board member of Green Century.
“We’re proud of Leslie’s work making environmentally responsible investment the powerful tool for change that it can be,” said Phelps. “She has been a leader in providing fossil free investment opportunities to investors through the Green Century Funds.”
