Before joining The Public Interest Network, Mark worked at CNN for nearly 20 years, and taught writing classes for six years through the Turner Professional Development Center. Mark was the recipient of an Emmy Award, two Peabody Awards and a DuPont Award. Mark currently lives near Denver, Colo., with his wife and three children. He’s also a music fanatic who’s been lucky enough to interview many of his favorite artists.

Groups sue Campbell Soup to end Lake Erie, Maumee River water pollution
Environment Ohio and Lake Erie Waterkeeper filed a lawsuit against Campbell Soup for dumping pollution from its canning factory in Napoleon, Ohio into the Maumee River, which flows into Lake Erie.
House committee approves bills to weaken clean water protections
The House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee voted to approve six bills on Wednesday that would roll back clean water protections -- including one that would allow facilities to release PFAS and other chemicals into waterways, even if those pollutants are not listed in their permits.
