Meeting Pennsylvania’s new environmental champs

While the dust has fully settled after the fall 2018 election, our work to build a bridge between the general public and their elected officials hasn’t stopped.

PennEnvironment has been running a statewide roadshow of “meet-and-greet” events with the environmental leaders elected within the new class of state representatives and senators. These events offer local citizens the opportunity to meet their newly-elected legislators, hear about their environmental priorities in the Pennsylvania General Assembly, ask questions and voice support for the environmental issues that they care most about as constituents.

To date, more than 500 constituents have attended our events to meet over a dozen of their elected officials. We plan to hold similar events into the spring and summer of 2019.
