On October 30, 2023, the Pennsylvania House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee held a hearing on House Bill 170 from Rep. Danielle Friel Otten, which would increase the minimum distance between fracking infrastructure and homes, schools, and other buildings. In addition to bringing concerned residents to the hearing, PennEnvironment submitted testimony in support of this commonsense measure to protect the public from some of the worst impacts of fracking.

PennEnvironment strongly urges lawmakers to support House Bill 170 for the health of Pennsylvanians and the preservation of our environment.
