New EV School Bus Funding Coming to PA
Pennsylvania school districts receive new funding for EV school buses, with more funding open to applications now.

Every day, more than 1 million Pennsylvania students ride diesel buses to school that pollute the air and can make kids sick. But, thanks to funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law of 2021, that is starting to change as more school districts switch to clean, electric buses.
The Environmental Protection Agency recently announced nearly $1 billion in grants to 280 school districts across 37 states to purchase clean buses and changing infrastructure. In Pennsylvania, Philadelphia School District received $8 million in funding to add 20 new electric buses to their fleet.
Right now, even more Pennsylvania school districts can join this momentum by applying to the 2024 Clean School Bus Rebate Program. Submit your application by January 9, 2025 and keep an eye out for the next round of grant applications later this spring.
